Sure. There's womthing wonky happining from Bloglines, though. If I click on the header, I ONLY get your "shop" page.
I know what you mean about steep (or non/existant!!) learning curves with technology. Best wishes.

You've never had a hazelnut?? We used to have hazelnut trees growing wild (or at least unfarmed) in Wa State. They're thin-skinned enough that a nine-year-old can crack them and eat them anytime; that, along with the wild blackberries, clover, horsetails, and seaweed, was enough to make a meal, and make our mother despair of us ever coming home. Someday you'll have to try them. They do not taste like the imitation flavoring.

And as for the orange chocolate thing: you should be protected from orange chocolate in whatever form it presents itself. I think you should send it to me, just to be safe. :)

Thank you, Wendy. Those are all very good explanations of what Santa represents that I'm sure I'll make use of over the next several years.

I've always talked about Santa in terms of how he represents unconditional generosity, of giving without the need for receiving. Because other than a few cookies and a glass of milk, no one thinks to buy a present for Santa. When we give presents to those than cannot afford to reciprocate, we have always signed it from Santa. And I've explained how all of us can stand in as Santa, giving without the need for receiving.

And I'm so glad that your son got exactly what he wanted.

Oh, and thanks for the advice on the Calorimetry. I do feel better.

You're quite welcome, Sarah. Your site is one of my regular reads. Finslippy made me think of that story, and then I thought, "Who has kids Acorn's age who are obsessed with potty jokes?" And I knew I'd get to link to you.

But if you have some hits from some pretty odd searches on your blog today? Sorry. That was me, trying to find an appropriate post.

(And thank for putting me in such wonderful company)

In fact, my kids were just making poop jokes on the way home from school today.

I've had that kind of thing happen in past years, Whymommy. If you'd care to email me (SheepintheMeadow — it's a Gmail address) with the specific dollhouse you're looking for, I can let you know if I happen across it.
